Staff from Kew Green Hotels have left Greenfingers Charity speechless after presenting a cheque for £100,000 to help create magical gardens for life-limited children, and families, spending time in hospices across the UK.
On Thursday 2nd November at the charity’s annual fundraising dinner, Alex Pritchard CEO and Neil Sewell, Managing Director of Kew Green Hotels presented the whopping cheque to Greenfingers Charity Chairman, John Ashley and Head of Fundraising & Communications Linda Petrons on behalf of their dedicated staff who have been fundraising to help make a difference.
Over the last ten months, teams across the country have shown their creative side by putting the FUN into FUNdraising. As well as golf days and sporting challenges, teams have been busy in the kitchen and restaurants organising curry nights, cake sales, quiz nights and much more besides. Helping to raise awareness of the partnership, staff across the country have also competed against each other to create seasonal displays in hotel reception areas.
After the staggering amount raised was announced, Neil Sewell commented, ‘I am extremely proud to be representing all of our teams in the UK for our outstanding fundraising for Greenfingers Charity, raising an amazing £100,000 so far this year. Thank you to all our engaged teams, customers, friends and families, you’re making a difference every day.’
We couldn’t agree more. A million thanks to each and every one of our Kew Green supporters who have not only raised funds for us, but also volunteered in some of our very special Greenfingers gardens.
