Rolawn, the home of Britain’s finest turf, have been hard at work fundraising for the Greenfingers Charity Garden Re-Leaf Day. This year staff took part in a range of activities to mark the event and generate funds for the charity. 'Strongest staff member' competitions were entered, lotteries were drawn, raffles were pulled, sweetie jar contents were guessed, and it was all accompanied by the sound of cake and bun eating!
The company also used their online shop to offer consumers a discount and to match purchases with a donation to the charity. The combined efforts from staff and company have resulted in £420 going to Greenfingers Charity.
Further activity is already planned with five Rolawn staff members taking part in a sponsored Coast to Coast bike ride, another team taking on the Three Peaks Challenge, monthly baking Fridays, a quarterly lottery, and still more fund-raising plans in the pipeline.
Huge thanks to Rolawn for their amazing fundraising efforts which will help us create more beautiful outdoor spaces for life-limited children who spend time in hospices around the UK. Whilst many people may take for granted the simple pleasure of being able to enjoy a garden, for these children, their siblings and their families, the chance to spend time together outdoors and away from the bedside is precious.
